One of our members in real estate added the numbers up. Our insurance will increase. Annual lease $14,400 w 2 piggybacks $6000 for a toal of $20400 x 5 = $102,000 - minus $5000 per year increased real estate tax = $25,000 over 5 years and $2000 additional insurance x 5 = $10,000.
That's $65,000 of income over a five year span. One frivolous law suit - the lawyers win, we waste our time!
When will the 19 person (10 society members and 9 council members) cell tower committee meet?
Unknown.
Have all the sub-committes met yet?
Not at this time.
Is health a major issue?
There are arguments, studies and findings on both sides. Why risk it when these studies will take many more years to yield, if any, clear results.

Many have asked about Ross Hugi's personal cell tower experience. Ross owns 100 acres of land in unincorporated Hawthorn Woods. A couple of years ago he entered into a contract with t-mobile to install a tower so he could receive a monthly check from t-mobile. After signing the deal his neighbors and Hawthorn Woods had a fit. Hawthorn Woods figured out how to divide his property and annex it. Ross has no tower, gets a monthly check from t-mobile with much of the money going to lawyers to try to undo the annexation. To quote Ross, "it is a can of worms you do not want to open up" and he would not have done it knowing what he knows now about the process and what can happen.
